Day 3 to 6 Rain, sideways rain, stinging rain, fast rain, slow rain and lots more rain. God i love rain.

We left our first camping ground on Thursday morning and the rain followed us all the way to San Vicente. A small fishing town which when the sun is out would be lovely, but when arrived our mood was already a little low due to being cold and wet. We stopped at the first cafe we come along and formulated a plan. The first plan was to take a bus and get out of the relentless rain but the bus company wanted us to dismantle the bikes. We then found out that there was a train that could take us to Oviedo. The only problem was the train would leave only at 5.30 and it was only 11am. So we set up camp in a cafe in the main town centre. There is only so many coffees one can have before complete boredom sets in and by now Jay was getting restless and just wanted to get the hell out of there so in the end we found a taxi driver to take us. £150 later and we arrived in Oviedo, the driver dropped us off in the main city centre. We set off in search of a hotel. We found a Marriott hotel called AC. £80 seemed a OK and at least we would have our creature comforts, hot bath, comfortable bed and WiFi.

The following day was much the same as before. Yes you guessed it, rain and lots of it. So the plan was to go to Leon but again the trains only leave once or twice a day. After lots of talk and trying to work out all angles the train was the best option. There was lots of issues getting on the train but that is a whole new story. Fast forward to Leon. Life at last, people enjoying the a festival in the grounds of the Cathedral. We found a stool selling grilled chicken and sat down to eat. A tour of the area then back to the hotel as we had an early start to catch the 7.13M train to Vigo.

So here we are in Vigo on Sunday afternoon and let me tell you its dead. You can really feel that the recession has hit this part of Spain. Having said that you can see parts that clearly have money.. So tonight we will be hitting the town in search of food and maybe a little life before hitting the road tomorrow.
